Set in the picturesque village of Great Baddow the propodsed new buildings seek to adopt a form and language inspired by the buildings that have traditionally been amongst the larger historic features in otherwise residentially scaled villages and market towns.

The design is split in to two elements addressing both the open park to the West adjoining the High Street and the historic residential scale of Maldon Road to the North, the approach to site planning that the new strategy enables will also facilitate increased pedestrian and visual connectivity, further helping to integrate the new buildings into the fabric of the village and opening up the open space to form a publically accessible green at the heart of the village.
