A transformational co-located residential and employment redevelopment of an underutilised, run-down industrial site on the A12 Eastern Avenue. The proposals will provide 196 new homes of which 45% will be affordable housing, extensive green public space for walking, cycling, play and rest, private gardens, courtyards and roof terraces, flexible workshops, employment spaces and a community hall.
The major urban greening includes the planting of over 150 new trees and a new public pedestrian and cycleway connection between the existing residential community of Shepherds Close, the A12 and the Padnall Lake open space to the north.
The regeneration of this site will positively activate this very public section of the A12 arterial road corridor, creating a setting for new family homes and businesses that will also benefit the wider community.
